1 -If you have little or no prior climbing experience :

The"découverte" course: Don’t take chances with your own or your partner’s well being. This introductory course provides the knowledge and skills you require to pass our accreditation test. Beyond learning the rudiments of safe climbing you will also be exposed to a number of principles that will help you derive greater enjoyment while climbing safely. Tryal or climbing primer  : For those who would like to explore the sensations of climbing without initially investing the time and effort needed to acquire the related technical skills you can come by for a one and a half hour trial session guided by one of our instructors. Starting at 15$ per person. N.B. for insurance reasons, an accrédited person can't belay a non accredited person

2 - If you have prior climbing experience :

An introduction to the center and verification of your technical skills: If you already possess the skills required to safely belay and climb safely you are ready for the accreditation process. This short test allows us to verify your knowledge and ensure that all is developing along a safe path. There are two levels of accreditation : (please reserve ahead) Basic accreditation: This is a required step prior to climbing autonomously at Horizon Roc. We will verify your level of competency related to safe top rope belay techniques. You will also be exposed to an overview of the center by which you will become familiar with the facilities as well as the operations. NB: on the occasion of your accreditation access to the center is half price and climbing equipment is provided. Lead climbing accreditation: This is a required step prior to climbing and belaying on lead. This test is designated to those who already lead climb or have followed a lead climbing course. N.B. the basic accreditation is a pre-requisite for the lead climbing accreditation.  It is possible to present yourself to both tests during the same visit to the center. Under such circumstances access to the center is free. Important information : Basic accreditation is required for bouldering Accreditations are not lessons Reservations are required prior to either basic or lead climbing accreditation Lead climbing accreditations are scheduled only once per day N.B,. for insurance reasons, an accrédited person can't belay a non accredited person.  There will be special accréditation fees and periods reserved for NACC compétitors that want to climb prior to the compétition.
